Who is behind OTSPI

OTSPI is a young initiative, currently driven by a small, volunteer founding team. We prefer to say so plainly: the credibility of a future trust service provider is built on engineering rigour and transparency, not on size.

Initiator and founding member

INSA Lyon engineer (Telecommunications, Services and Uses), cloud and DevOps architect. Fifteen years of experience in cloud architecture, Kubernetes and regulated environments (banking, aerospace, nuclear), and former co-founder and CTO of a start-up.

In the project : Architecture design, development of the open source time-stamping engine (Rust) and coordination of the white paper.

What we are looking for

One person cannot hold all the roles of a trust service provider: the standards require strict segregation of duties. The team therefore has to grow before any application for qualification. We are looking in particular for:

  • Authority OfficersHolders of root key cards and operators of key ceremonies, under a 3-of-5 quorum.
  • Information Security Officer (CISO)Leading the security policy, in a role independent of operations.
  • Trust Policy Committee membersExperts in cryptography, PKI and eIDAS compliance, independent of management.
  • Independent internal auditorChecking compliance with procedures, separate from operations.
  • Advisory boardFigures from public administration, research, audit and open source.
